The Intrepid Group stories were a series of round-robin tales set in a
universe where the local BBSs were physical kingdoms, where the BBSers
showed up as their BBS personas, and things tended to get either very
wacky, or very convoluted, depending on the mood of the writers.
The Intrepid Group was a group of assorted users who wound up on a quest
to save the kingdoms from this two-bit heavy-handed over-the-top villain,
or fighting against that group of alien invaders,
or against this other bunch of do-good meddlers,
and sometimes even against each other!
